Alright, it’s time to plug shamelessly. I am trying to make a Webyssey graphic novel, and if you’re a repeat viewer on this site, there’s a good chance that you’re quite fond of that story. Those who’ve never read it should go here now.

I’m using kickstarter to fund the operation, and aiming for a total amount of $8,000. That’s not an immodest amount, I’ll grant you, but nor is it impossibly huge. In fact, at time of writing, I’ve already accrued over $1,500 thanks to friends, fans and total strangers. If you’d like to pledge some money, know that ANY amount, down to as little as a dollar, is important to me, and I thank you. The more people who pledge anything, the more buzz is generated around the project online, and thus the more likely it is that people will donate more money.

But here’s the kicker: unless we make the target amount ($8,000), no money changes hands. That’s right; it’s not as if you’re just throwing money into a rusty bucket with no guarantee of return – every person who donates can know that I won’t get a red cent unless we reach my target. It’s essentially like saying “I’ll chip in if everyone else does.” Moreover, attached to every donation are fabulous prizes! You can get a copy of the book, a written dedication or even appear in the book or re-design the cover, all depending on how much you’d like to donate!

just trying to throw something up here every now and again so that the site doesn’t totally flatline. Sorry folks. Anyway, the thing I’ve been working on should be going live at any day. Probably early January. And yes, these are all real quotes that popped up in my news feed.

Pages 29 and 30 of our ongoing story. Very soon I will have a Kickstarter proposal up for The Webyssey graphic novel and with any luck, I can make a full, re-mastered, extended, super turbo, 200-page story based on this silly little tale.

Whoof. My website is still fucked, and I’m sort of worried that I’ll have to tear the whole thing down and start from scratch just to get it to function properly. In the meantime uploading is very hard, but I had to throw something up.

Another one! meant to have it up sooner, but I am also trying to write a website for a company, finish a commission piece, create an iPhone app, get illustration wor_, and ma_e a proposal video for my graphic novel. And all of this with a bro_en _eyboard and a defunct laptop. Excuses, I _now, but at least there/s something here for you to loo_ at! Hope it suffices.

I ave returned, limping back onto this electronic stage. my computer broke down utterly at the end of march [the keyboard still doesn't work] I ran out of money, and my family has been handling something of a crisis. But you don’t want to hear about this. You want more comics! This I completely understand, and I will try my hardest to oblige you. my computer is still buggered, and I’m sort of forcing it to work at gunpoint, but my ambitions are not dulled, and I will try to continue updating in some form or other until I can afford repairs. In the meantime, the quality of the comics will be somewhat ropey and old-school [much like the one you see on the front page].

I am working many extra hours in order to save money to fix the computer, but I am also trying to put together a kickstarter proposal to help with funding, and will be adding a couple of extra features to the website in the next week or so. There will also be another one or two of these superhero strips. Watch this space!

Speaking of which, if you’re wondering why there have been no updates, It’s because I have been dealing with a bit of a family crisis the last month. I shan’t bore you with details, but suffice it to say, there’s a good reason I haven’t had time to draw. I’m sorry.

There should be a new Webyssey this week!

I’ve just realised that I’ve drawn 28 pages of this story. That’s quite a lot for me. But you haven’t seen anything yet; I have plans for a full-length Webyssey graphic novel. YEEEAAAAAAAAAH!

Spend a long enough time in the internet and sooner or later we all lose any sense of our identity.
